The gendered economy in a changing nation

mexico-flag.png

Mexican researchers have long been at the forefront of measuring unpaid care work in their economy.  The CWW team has extended this approach by emphasizing the age dimension of unpaid care work.  This will become ever more important as the Mexican population experiences population aging and the economy continues to develop.

Mexico seeks to understand its gendered economy in order to provide all of its people the human capital needed to thrive, and will need to remove barriers that keep women and girls from full participation in the Mexican economy.
